ਕੇਦਾਰਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ਘਰੁ ੧ ॥

Kaydaaraa, Fourth Mehl, First House:
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ikOankaar satigur prasaad ||
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਤ ਗਾਵੀਐ ਰੇ ॥
mere man raam naam nit gaaveeai re ||
O my mind, sing continually the Name of the Lord.
ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਲਖਿਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਮਿਲੈ ਲਖਾਵੀਐ ਰੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
agam agochar na jaaee har lakhiaa gur pooraa milai lakhaaveeai re || rahaau ||
The Inaccessible, Unfathomable Lord cannot be seen; meeting with the Perfect Guru, He is seen. ||Pause||
ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵੀਐ ਰੇ ॥
jis aape kirapaa kare meraa suaamee tis jan kau har liv laaveeai re ||
That person, upon whom my Lord and Master showers His Mercy - the Lord attunes that one to Himself.
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਭਗਤਿ ਕਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਕੇਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਥਾਇ ਪਾਵੀਐ ਰੇ ॥੧॥
sabh ko bhagat kare har keree har bhaavai so thaai paaveeai re ||1||
Everyone worships the Lord, but only that person who is pleasing to the Lord is accepted. ||1||
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਮੋਲਕੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਵੈ ਤਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵੀਐ ਰੇ ॥
har har naam amolak har pahi har devai taa naam dhiaaveeai re ||
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is priceless. It rests with the Lord. If the Lord bestows it, then we meditate on the Naam.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਲੇਖਾ ਸਭੁ ਛਡਾਵੀਐ ਰੇ ॥੨॥
jis no naam dei meraa suaamee tis lekhaa sabh chhadaaveeai re ||2||
That person, whom my Lord and Master blesses with His Name - his entire account is forgiven. ||2||
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਸੇ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਨ ਕਹੀਅਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿ ਪਾਵੀਐ ਰੇ ॥
har naam araadhahi se dha(n)n jan kaheeahi tin masatak bhaag dhur likh paaveeai re ||
Those humble beings who worship and adore the Lord's Name, are said to be blessed. Such is the good destiny written on their foreheads.
ਤਿਨ ਦੇਖੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਬਿਗਸੈ ਜਿਉ ਸੁਤੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਮਾਤ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਵੀਐ ਰੇ ॥੩॥
tin dekhe meraa man bigasai jiu sut mil maat gal laaveeai re ||3||
Gazing upon them, my mind blossoms forth, like the mother who meets with her son and hugs him close. ||3||
ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਹਰਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਦੇਹੁ ਮਤੀ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਵੀਐ ਰੇ ॥
ham baarik har pitaa prabh mere mo kau dehu matee jit har paaveeai re ||
I am a child, and You, O my Lord God, are my Father; please bless me with such understanding, that I may find the Lord.
ਜਿਉ ਬਛੁਰਾ ਦੇਖਿ ਗਊ ਸੁਖੁ ਮਾਨੈ ਤਿਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਵੀਐ ਰੇ ॥੪॥੧॥
jiu bachhuraa dekh gaoo sukh maanai tiu naanak har gal laaveeai re ||4||1||
Like the cow, which is happy upon seeing her calf, O Lord, please hug Nanak close in Your Embrace. ||4||1||

O my mind, chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਧੋਇ ਧੋਇ ਪੂਜਹੁ ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਲਹੁ ਰੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
satiguroo ke charan dhoi dhoi poojahu in bidh meraa har prabh lahu re || rahaau ||
Wash the Feet of the True Guru, and worship them. In this way, you shall find my Lord God. ||Pause||
ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ਬਿਖੈ ਰਸ ਇਨ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਤੇ ਤੂ ਰਹੁ ਰੇ ॥
kaam krodh lobh mohu abhimaan bikhai ras in sa(n)gat te too rahu re ||
Sexual desire, anger, greed, attachment, egotism and corrupt pleasures - stay away from these.
ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀਜੈ ਹਰਿ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਿਉ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਮਹੁ ਰੇ ॥੧॥
mil satasa(n)gat keejai har gosat saadhoo siu gosat har prem rasaain raam naam rasaain har raam naam raam ramahu re ||1||
Join the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and speak with the Holy People about the Lord. The Love of the Lord is the healing remedy; the Name of the Lord is the healing remedy. Chant the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam. ||1||
