ਕਿਛੁ ਕਿਸੀ ਕੈ ਹਥਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਐਸੀ ਮੇਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥

kichh kisee kai hath naahee mere suaamee aisee merai satigur boojh bujhaaee ||

Nothing is in the hands of anyone, O my Lord and Master; such is the understanding the True Guru has given me to understand.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਤੂ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਈ ॥੪॥੧॥

jan naanak kee aas too jaanahi har darasan dekh har darasan tripataaee ||4||1||

You alone know the hope of servant Nanak, O Lord; gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, he is satisfied. ||4||1||

Gond, Fourth Mehl:

ਐਸਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵੀਐ ਨਿਤ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਜੋ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਕਰੇ ਬਿਨਾਸਾ ॥

aisaa har seveeai nit dhiaaeeai jo khin mahi kilavikh sabh kare binaasaa ||

Serve such a Lord, and ever meditate on Him, who in an instant erases all sins and mistakes.

ਜੇ ਹਰਿ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਅਵਰ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਕੀਜੈ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਹਫਲ ਸਭ ਘਾਲ ਗਵਾਸਾ ॥

je har tiaag avar kee aas keejai taa har nihaphal sabh ghaal gavaasaa ||

If someone forsakes the Lord and places his hopes in another, then all his service to the Lord is rendered fruitless.

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਿਹੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਸੇਵਿਐ ਸਭ ਭੁਖ ਲਹਾਸਾ ॥੧॥

mere man har sevihu sukhadaataa suaamee jis seviai sabh bhukh lahaasaa ||1||

O my mind, serve the Lord, the Giver of peace; serving Him, all your hunger shall depart. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਊਪਰਿ ਕੀਜੈ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ॥

mere man har oopar keejai bharavaasaa ||

O my mind, place your faith in the Lord.

ਜਹ ਜਾਈਐ ਤਹ ਨਾਲਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਅਪਨੀ ਪੈਜ ਰਖੈ ਜਨ ਦਾਸਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jah jaaeeai tah naal meraa suaamee har apanee paij rakhai jan daasaa ||1|| rahaau ||

Wherever I go, my Lord and Master is there with me. The Lord saves the honor of His humble servants and slaves. ||1||Pause||

ਜੇ ਅਪਨੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕਹਹੁ ਅਵਰਾ ਪਹਿ ਤਾ ਆਗੈ ਅਪਨੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਬਹੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਕਢਾਸਾ ॥

je apanee birathaa kahahu avaraa pahi taa aagai apanee birathaa bahu bahut kadhaasaa ||

If you tell your sorrows to another, then he, in return, will tell you of his greater sorrows.

ਅਪਨੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕਹਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਹਿ ਜੋ ਤੁਮੑਰੇ ਦੂਖ ਤਤਕਾਲ ਕਟਾਸਾ ॥

apanee birathaa kahahu har apune suaamee pahi jo tumhre dookh tatakaal kataasaa ||

So tell your sorrows to the Lord, your Lord and Master, who shall instantly dispel your pain.

ਸੋ ਐਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਅਪਨੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਅਵਰਾ ਪਹਿ ਕਹੀਐ ਅਵਰਾ ਪਹਿ ਕਹਿ ਮਨ ਲਾਜ ਮਰਾਸਾ ॥੨॥

so aisaa prabh chhod apanee birathaa avaraa pahi kaheeai avaraa pahi kahi man laaj maraasaa ||2||

Forsaking such a Lord God, if you tell your sorrows to another, then you shall die of shame. ||2||

ਜੋ ਸੰਸਾਰੈ ਕੇ ਕੁਟੰਬ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਭਾਈ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਅਪਨੈ ਸੁਆਇ ਮਿਲਾਸਾ ॥

jo sa(n)saarai ke kuta(n)b mitr bhaaee deesahi man mere te sabh apanai suaai milaasaa ||

The relatives, friends and siblings of the world that you see, O my mind, all meet with you for their own purposes.

ਜਿਤੁ ਦਿਨਿ ਉਨੑ ਕਾ ਸੁਆਉ ਹੋਇ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਤਿਤੁ ਦਿਨਿ ਨੇੜੈ ਕੋ ਨ ਢੁਕਾਸਾ ॥

jit din unh kaa suaau hoi na aavai tit din neRai ko na dhukaasaa ||

And that day, when their self-interests are not served, on that day, they shall not come near you.

ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਪਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਉਪਕਰੈ ਦੂਖਿ ਸੁਖਾਸਾ ॥੩॥

man mere apanaa har sev din raatee jo tudh upakarai dookh sukhaasaa ||3||

O my mind, serve your Lord, day and night; He shall help you in good times and bad. ||3||

ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ਕਿਉ ਕੀਜੈ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਜੋ ਅੰਤੀ ਅਉਸਰਿ ਰਖਿ ਨ ਸਕਾਸਾ ॥

tis kaa bharavaasaa kiu keejai man mere jo a(n)tee ausar rakh na sakaasaa ||

Why place your faith in anyone, O my mind, who cannot come to your rescue at the last instant?

ਹਰਿ ਜਪੁ ਮੰਤੁ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਲੈ ਜਾਪਹੁ ਤਿਨੑ ਅੰਤਿ ਛਡਾਏ ਜਿਨੑ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਚਿਤਾਸਾ ॥

har jap ma(n)t gur upades lai jaapahu tinh a(n)t chhadaae jinh har preet chitaasaa ||

Chant the Lord's Mantra, take the Guru's Teachings, and meditate on Him. In the end, the Lord saves those who love Him in their consciousness.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਇਹੁ ਛੂਟਣ ਕਾ ਸਾਚਾ ਭਰਵਾਸਾ ॥੪॥੨॥

jan naanak anadin naam japahu har sa(n)tahu ihu chhootan kaa saachaa bharavaasaa ||4||2||

Servant Nanak speaks: night and day, chant the Lord's Name, O Saints; this is the only true hope for emancipation. ||4||2||

Gond, Fourth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਦਾ ਹੋਇ ਅਨੰਦੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸੀਤਲ ਮਨੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥

har simarat sadaa hoi ana(n)d sukh a(n)tar saa(n)t seetal man apanaa ||

Remembering the Lord in meditation, you shall find bliss and peace forever deep within, and your mind will become tranquil and cool.

ਜੈਸੇ ਸਕਤਿ ਸੂਰੁ ਬਹੁ ਜਲਤਾ ਗੁਰ ਸਸਿ ਦੇਖੇ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਇ ਸਭ ਤਪਨਾ ॥੧॥

jaise sakat soor bahu jalataa gur sas dekhe lahi jaai sabh tapanaa ||1||

It is like the harsh sun of Maya, with its burning heat; seeing the moon, the Guru, its heat totally vanishes. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਨਾ ॥

mere man anadin dhiaai naam har japanaa ||

O my mind, night and day, meditate, and chant the Lord's Name.

ਜਹਾ ਕਹਾ ਤੁਝੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ਸੋ ਐਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਤੂ ਅਪਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jahaa kahaa tujh raakhai sabh thaaee so aisaa prabh sev sadaa too apanaa ||1|| rahaau ||

Here and hereafter, He shall protect you, everywhere; serve such a God forever. ||1||Pause||

ਜਾ ਮਹਿ ਸਭਿ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਖੋਜਿ ਲਹਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਤਨਾ ॥

jaa mahi sabh nidhaan so har jap man mere guramukh khoj lahahu har ratanaa ||

Meditate on the Lord, who contains all treasures, O my mind; as Gurmukh, search for the jewel, the Lord.

ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਮਲਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਦਸਨਾ ॥੨॥

jin har dhiaaiaa tin har paaiaa meraa suaamee tin ke charan malahu har dasanaa ||2||

Those who meditate on the Lord, find the Lord, my Lord and Master; I wash the feet of those slaves of the Lord. ||2||

ਸਬਦੁ ਪਛਾਣਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਓਹੁ ਊਤਮੁ ਸੰਤੁ ਭਇਓ ਬਡ ਬਡਨਾ ॥

sabad pachhaan raam ras paavahu ohu ootam sa(n)t bhaio bad badanaa ||

One who realizes the Word of the Shabad, obtains the sublime essence of the Lord; such a Saint is lofty and sublime, the greatest of the great.

ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਵਧਾਈ ਓਹੁ ਘਟੈ ਨ ਕਿਸੈ ਕੀ ਘਟਾਈ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਿਲਨਾ ॥੩॥

tis jan kee vadiaaee har aap vadhaaee ohu ghatai na kisai kee ghataaee ik til til tilanaa ||3||

The Lord Himself magnifies the glory of that humble servant. No one can lessen or decrease that glory, not even a bit. ||3||
