ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਸੰਤ ਜਨ ਨੀਕੇ ਜਿਨ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ ਮਨੁ ਰੰਗਿ ਰੰਗੀਤਿ ॥

har ke sa(n)t sa(n)t jan neeke jin miliaa(n) man ra(n)g ra(n)geet ||

The humble Saints, the Saints of the Lord, are noble and sublime; meeting them, the mind is tinged with love and joy.

ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਹੈ ਨ ਉਤਰੈ ਕਬਹੂ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਮਿਲੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥੩॥

har ra(n)g lahai na utarai kabahoo har har jaai milai har preet ||3||

The Lord's Love never fades away, and it never wears off. Through the Lord's Love, one goes and meets the Lord, Har, Har. ||3||

ਹਮ ਬਹੁ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਏ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਾਟੇ ਕਟਿਤ ਕਟੀਤਿ ॥

ham bahu paap keee aparaadhee gur kaate katit kateet ||

I am a sinner; I have committed so many sins. The Guru has cut them, cut them, and hacked them off.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਮੁਖਿ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤਿ ॥੪॥੫॥

har har naam deeo mukh aukhadh jan naanak patit puneet ||4||5||

The Guru has placed the healing remedy of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, into my mouth. Servant Nanak, the sinner, has been purified and sanctified. ||4||5||

ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਜਗੰਨਾਥ ॥

jap man raam naam jaga(n)naath ||

Chant, O my mind, the Name of the Lord, the Lord of the Universe.

ਘੂਮਨ ਘੇਰ ਪਰੇ ਬਿਖੁ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੀਏ ਦੇ ਹਾਥ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ghooman gher pare bikh bikhiaa satigur kaadh leee de haath ||1|| rahaau ||

I was caught in the whirlpool of poisonous sin and corruption. The True Guru gave me His Hand; He lifted me up and pulled me out. ||1||Pause||

ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਭੈ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਨਰਹਰਿ ਤੁਮੑ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਹਮ ਪਾਪੀ ਪਾਥ ॥

suaamee abhai nira(n)jan narahar tumh raakh lehu ham paapee paath ||

O my Fearless, Immaculate Lord and Master, please save me - I am a sinner, a sinking stone.

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਲੋਭਿ ਲੁਭਤੇ ਕਾਸਟ ਲੋਹ ਤਰੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਥ ॥੧॥

kaam krodh bikhiaa lobh lubhate kaasat loh tare sa(n)g saath ||1||

I am lured and enticed by sexual desire, anger, greed and corruption, but associating with You, I am carried across, like iron in the wooden boat. ||1||

ਤੁਮੑ ਵਡ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਡ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਹਮ ਢੂਢਿ ਰਹੇ ਪਾਈ ਨਹੀ ਹਾਥ ॥

tumh vad purakh bad agam agochar ham dhoodh rahe paaee nahee haath ||

You are the Great Primal Being, the most Inaccessible and Unfathomable Lord God; I search for You, but cannot find Your depth.

ਤੂ ਪਰੈ ਪਰੈ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੂ ਆਪਨ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਆਪਿ ਜਗੰਨਾਥ ॥੨॥

too parai parai apara(n)par suaamee too aapan jaanahi aap jaga(n)naath ||2||

You are the farthest of the far, beyond the beyond, O my Lord and Master; You alone know Yourself, O Lord of the Universe. ||2||

ਅਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੁ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਪਾਥ ॥

adrisat agochar naam dhiaae satasa(n)gat mil saadhoo paath ||

I meditate on the Name of the Unseen and Unfathomable Lord; joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I have found the Path of the Holy.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਨੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਅਕਥ ਕਥ ਕਾਥ ॥੩॥

har har kathaa sunee mil sa(n)gat har har japio akath kath kaath ||3||

Joining the congregation, I listen to the Gospel of the Lord, Har, Har; I meditate on the Lord, Har, Har, and speak the Unspoken Speech. ||3||

ਹਮਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਹਮ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਜਗੰਨਾਥ ॥

hamare prabh jagadees gusaaee ham raakh lehu jaga(n)naath ||

My God is the Lord of the World, the Lord of the Universe; please save me, O Lord of all Creation.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਦਾਸੁ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਰਹੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਜਨ ਸਾਥ ॥੪॥੬॥

jan naanak daas daas daasan ko prabh karahu kripaa raakhahu jan saath ||4||6||

Servant Nanak is the slave of the slave of Your slaves. O God, please bless me with Your Grace; please protect me and keep me with Your humble servants. ||4||6||

man jaapahu raam gupaal ||

O mind, meditate on the Lord, the Lord of the World.

ਹਰਿ ਰਤਨ ਜਵੇਹਰ ਲਾਲ ॥

har ratan javehar laal ||

The Lord is the Jewel, the Diamond, the Ruby.

ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਘੜਿ ਟਕਸਾਲ ॥

har guramukh ghaR takasaal ||

The Lord fashions the Gurmukhs in His Mint.

ਹਰਿ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

har ho ho kirapaal ||1|| rahaau ||

O Lord, please, please, be Merciful to me. ||1||Pause||

ਤੁਮਰੇ ਗੁਨ ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਏਕ ਜੀਹ ਕਿਆ ਕਥੈ ਬਿਚਾਰੀ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਲਾਲ ॥

tumare gun agam agochar ek jeeh kiaa kathai bichaaree raam raam raam raam laal ||

Your Glorious Virtues are inaccessible and unfathomable; how can my one poor tongue describe them? O my Beloved Lord, Raam, Raam, Raam, Raam.

ਤੁਮਰੀ ਜੀ ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਤੂ ਹੀ ਜਾਨਹਿ ਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਭਈ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੧॥

tumaree jee akath kathaa too too too hee jaanahi hau har jap bhaee nihaal nihaal nihaal ||1||

O Dear Lord, You, You, You alone know Your Unspoken Speech. I have become enraptured, enraptured, enraptured, meditating on the Lord. ||1||

ਹਮਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਸਖਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਜੀਹ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਹਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਧਨੁ ਮਾਲ ॥

hamare har praan sakhaa suaamee har meetaa mere man tan jeeh har hare hare raam naam dhan maal ||

The Lord, my Lord and Master, is my Companion and my Breath of Life; the Lord is my Best Friend. My mind, body and tongue are attuned to the Lord, Har, Haray, Haray. The Lord is my Wealth and Property.

ਜਾ ਕੋ ਭਾਗੁ ਤਿਨਿ ਲੀਓ ਰੀ ਸੁਹਾਗੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ਹਰੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲੇ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਭਈ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੨॥੧॥੭॥

jaa ko bhaag tin leeo ree suhaag har har hare hare gun gaavai guramat hau bal bale hau bal bale jan naanak har jap bhaee nihaal nihaal nihaal ||2||1||7||

She alone obtains her Husband Lord, who is so pre-destined. Through the Guru's Teachings, she sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord Har. am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to the Lord, O servant Nanak. Meditating on the Lord, I have become enraptured.

ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਜਗਦੀਸ ॥

har gun gaavahu jagadees ||

Sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, the Lord of the Universe.

ਏਕਾ ਜੀਹ ਕੀਚੈ ਲਖ ਬੀਸ ॥

ekaa jeeh keechai lakh bees ||

Let my one tongue become two hundred thousand

ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਪੀਸ ॥

jap har har sabad japees ||

with them all, I will meditate on the Lord, Har, Har, and chant the Word of the Shabad.

ਹਰਿ ਹੋ ਹੋ ਕਿਰਪੀਸ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

O Lord, please, please, be Merciful to me. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਮ ਲਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਪੇ ਜਪੁ ਜਾਪਉ ਜਗਦੀਸ ॥

har kirapaa kar suaamee ham laai har sevaa har jap jape har jap jape jap jaapau jagadees ||

O Lord, my Lord and Master, please be Merciful to me; please enjoin me to serve You. I chant and meditate on the Lord, I chant and meditate on the Lord, I chant and meditate on the Lord of the Universe.

ਤੁਮਰੇ ਜਨ ਰਾਮੁ ਜਪਹਿ ਤੇ ਊਤਮ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਹਉ ਘੁਮਿ ਘੁਮੇ ਘੁਮਿ ਘੁਮਿ ਜੀਸ ॥੧॥

tumare jan raam japahi te ootam tin kau hau ghum ghume ghum ghum jees ||1||

Your humble servants chant and meditate on You, O Lord; they are sublime and exalted. I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice, a sacrifice to them. ||1||
